Originally special-ordered as a birthday present but date confusion (I really need to learn how to work a calendar) caused the gift to be delayed. No problem. Make it an anniversary gift.
Start with a really nice box with finger joints and build up from there with glass and brass. I like glass and brass. A green insulator in a bubble (fish bowl?) is illuminated from below with an LED. Look closely inside for the directional LEDs that add a touch of mystery. All the LEDs have a separate switch so the lamp can be used as a night light.
Top it off with a dimmable Edison bulb and you have a one-of-a-kind gift that draws lots of attention as well as questions.
